The SAC amplifier is a dedicated amplifier for K1000. A limited edition is announced on German Ebay for delivery in Feb. 2009 (text also in English). I checked a little about previous impressions at Head-Fi and it seems to be a decent amplifier, but how good is it? Anyone who has compared it to amplifiers that have been top-rated, like the FirstWatt.
On the good side, it costs only a little more than an Equinox 15' tail end extension cable (about $500) and you save this with the SAC and can connect the headphone directly with the XLR connector to the amp (price for SAC amp is 498 Euro).
