I can't find any place that repairs Irivers and have a unit that has a blown cap on the main board. The old wrong PS story. I have all the instructions etc and the small parts are available but the soldering work is too small for me to do it.

Any tinkerer like me but with steadier hands that hates to see these trashed?

Anyone have any of them that are broken sitting in a drawer somewhere?

Thanks

Larry

I found an audio repair shop in my area that replaced the UDA1380TT chip on a busted player I bought. You need to find a place that can do miniature level soldering. They pulled the replacement chip off another busted board I had. They charged me $80, but fixed the really slow response problem. I was hesitant to spend that much with no guarantee that the problem would be fixed, but I was curious enough to have it done.
