Does anyone know where I could get the remote unit for the Sony D-25S?

Note that there are multiple types that will work. There's the wireless RM-DM1+RM-DM1K and the wired RM-DM2. I've seen both included with Discmans on e-Bay.

Then apparently the RM-DM5 credit-card sized remote will also work. Haven't seen that one yet anywhere.

Any source available to buy one of these compatable remote units other than getting lucky by seeing one on ebay that is sold as part of another CD player?

I know www.partsolver.com has 'the eye' (ooh, that sounds scary), they don't seem to have the remote, though you could ask them. Otherwise try the Sony service center, who knows.

These would be new, but also quite expensive.

The RM-DM5 also works with the D-25S.

Oops, the RM-DM5 doesn't seem to be credit-card sized, like I said before, I guess that's the RM-DM7 then. The RM-DM5 looks similar to the RM-DM1, with a different button layout.
