I tried this exact mod a while ago - liked the sound, hated the fit.

I'd wager my 888s are eventually gonna be V.I.T.E.s......eventually....

K, fine, redshifter, you're part of the mod squad.

And - I don't get really DEEP bass - more powerful, slightly more extension, but not DEEP. For DEEP bass, try a CHA47 or something - man, then the 888s have unbelievable earbud bass - the MX500 is more balanced.....but the 888s are more realistic.

When amplified PROPERLY - TO MY EARS.
