Red House Painters - who picked up where they left off?

I've been getting a lot of mileage out of my RHP collection lately, and i'm wondering if they inspired any other bands that seem to have the same tone and feel.

And maybe without the "I'm a modern sensitive male" subject matter. The music is great, but, sometimes i think they're trying a little too hard to impress some chick or other that they are really quite seriously in touch with their feelings.

Most of the bands that i've heard that claimed RHP as an influence have been way too country for me, and not enough folk.
