I was considering these JBLs since they have such good reviews and are inexpensive (http://www.amazon.com/JBL-Professional-LSR305-Studio-Monitor/dp/B00DUKP37C)
but it looks like they don't accept RCA output that my Asgard 2 serves up, just balanced.
 
Any suggestions for a pair of powered computer speakers/monitors for my computer desk?

The JBLs will work with an unbalanced input, using 1/4" mono jacks, plugged into the TRS connections on the back of the JBLs
It's listed on page 7 or 8 of the JBL manual.
 
 
You would use the same cable i use to connect to my studio monitors.

Agreed. You can use that adapter with the 305s, and they are an excellent choice for their price.
