Still looking for some detailed headphones and various aspects for collection
So far I got the elegia but tried Ananda recently
Then got hd800s and lcd-xc
Might sell a couple
Ended up sending back Monolith AMT for an RMA but then considered to get it refunded
I didn't get the sale in August
So I was wondering the differences between Heddphone v2, or maybe the v1 and the Monoprice
I tried the Monolith briefly before returning it
Ton of bass but needs EQ
might try ZMF stuff at Canjam
Looking for something detailed or maybe closed back
So maybe Verite if possible
I might try hd6xx when I get a chance
Something to compliment having a closed back, open back, a planar and dynamic
But maybe more AMT stuff will be available in the future
So I could even just wait a decade perhaps
Sidenote about amps
I'm using xduoo ta03s OTL tube amp, and can plug it to JDS Atom as pre-amp
Someone had mentioned it's not a good idea to mess with the connections while things are plugged in. Sometimes I unplug to switch from 6.35mm output for pre-amp to just use the xduoo as a DAC.
I've been hearing some static on laptop or sometimes through the phone also and even the audio turned off when it happened on my phone. I tried a different USB cord.
Portable xduoo xp2 pro distorts bass a lot at higher volumes
Getting a qudelix next
Someone was selling an ifi xcan for really cheap but I missed that
Probably should get a headphone mount or sell some of these. The co-pilot pad doesn't fit too well on the hd800s.
Sheepskin pads is decent, but suede may be more comfortable. I forgot to ask ZMF if it's real suede. The co-pilot doesn't seem to be. Hd800s is plastic so maybe it'll be prone to cosmetic damage.
Maybe crescent snap would be better but for something like the AMT headphones.
The heddphone v2 has a better headband and some difference in the bass, I was told.
Some people like the Monolith better than Heddphone?
I guess Heddphone might be at Canjam maybe.
