I've been using Radio Shack gold interconnects for the past year. I for one believe that cables do make a difference, even from switching inbetween cheap cables
So it made sense for me to get something bigger, better, and more expensive!
I don't really like sharp highs. The RS cable was attacking me too much. After reading DanG's reveiw on the Bolder Type2, it made me want to try it out.
It's true, the highs are more controlled. I think they are 'lowered', which was what I wanted to get. The sound stage is more airy, and the bass seems to radiate more. I'm now getting the '3d' effect, where I can actually hear that one instrument is closer than the other. It's very nice and relaxing. The downside is that when you want a high tone knocking the side of your head, it's just not really there (when compared to my RS cable), but it does lessen the 'noise' from poorly recorded albums.
Overall, I'm happy, and I'm keepin' them
