I am going to get one of the two but was wondering which is better overall. I want the best SQ and I know the heron can roll opamps? But yea, I hard that they are both good but which is better?

But the DAC wouldn't really be used... but it is a plus.

Why not the D3? The P3 can be tailored to different sound and is an enjoyable amp.

I have the P3 Heron and rolled some opamps from hiflight. I have to say the SQ is great.
