The band that came with the DT770s was really digging into the top of my head and becoming painful after 30min of wear. This quick strap can be done in 15-20min and has improved the comfort astronomically. I used a few velcro cable management straps I had laying around and a piece of soft leather from amazon.

I cut the leather to 2" (5cm) wide and 11" (28cm) length. The notches for the velcro straps are the width of the headphone cup holders ~1" (2.5cm).
I used the leftover pieces of velcro to tie the cable to the top of the metal band.
