Hi.

I like to stay up late and watch movies or play some playstation. To not wake up my wife I use my headphones, but the cable is uncomfortably short. I don't want to spend 100 - 200 dollars on a new set like Sennheiser RS 160 - 70 or 80, so i'm wondering:

Is there a type of device (describing as I picture it) with a sender that I can plug in to any of the TVs sound inputs that sends the sound to a reciver with a 3,5mm jack where I can plug my beyerdynamics?

I'm not aware of a specific device or kit, but you can add a bluetooth dongle to the TV and get a cheap pair of bluetooth headphones which will do the trick. Some DACs now have bluetooth connectivity so the Beyers can be added to that set up. Or just get an extension lead - the range of bluetooth is about 10 feet in my experience.

Alternatively there's the RS120-II which is a lot cheaper than the digital versions, but is open-backed so leaks sound.

Out of interest I have the RS170 and use it every day, wireless headphones are great.
