Question about Sennheiser HD700 headphone

I am looking to buy this headphone but from what I heard they are not being produced anymore. I think I heard it stopped around 2013. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Is it worth buying such headphone that potentially has been lying down all this time in some store or warehouse ? Can I expect them to work the same way like in the year of production ?

Your question really applies to buying any used headphone. If the headphone is un-used, but has been properly stored, you shouldn't experience any issues. The important thing to remember is that Sennheiser is very good about spare parts, if the need arises. Some other headphone mfrs are not so easy to deal with for spare parts.
