I have some IEMs with balanced 4.4 cable, but not all my sources have 4.4 balance output.

If I have a desktop amp for my laptop that only has a 3.5 (non balanced) output, can I just use a female 4.4 to male 3.5 adapter and plug into this source to listen? I understand it wont be balanced any longer since the source wont be, but just to listen non-balanced.

There's IEM multi kits on AliExpress with 3.5 4.4 and 2.5mm tips you just swap out. I have a few and they work great to save wear on delicate connectors. 14 bucks and free shipping, well worth it.
