Hey guys, I've settled into AIMP3 as my music player for its sheer ease-of-use. There's a setting that I can't get much info about in the 'Transform Options' section called 'Allow channels mixing'. It says: "Surround emulation for stereo/mono files. Smart conversion of multichannel files to stereo / mono"

I want the most pure stereo experience, so I'm guessing I should turn this off? I just saw a vague response on the AIMP forum to just keep it default, but I'm not so sure. Does Foobar have this option default?

I don't know, but the description seems to indicate it for downmixing multichannel (5.1/6.1/7.1) to stereo. It probably doesn't do anything to a stereo signal. But, turning it off is probably the safest bet - as long as you aren't listening to multichannel sound.
