Hi all,

I've modded two sets of headphones - TH-X00 and AKG Sextett - with MMCX ports. Problem I'm running into is that when removing the MMCX cables, I tend to find the jack twisting, sometimes enough to break the solder behind it.

I was going to just chuck a dab of Gorilla glue into the groove where the jacks live, but I thought I'd ask the experts - what do you do to prevent your MMCX jacks from turning? I was hoping tightening them down enough would be it, but no. Flat washer + curved surface = not clamped down enough.

Thanks!

Did you tap the holes with threads? If using just the nuts you may need a bit more torque/tightening.

Alternatively, I usually just epoxy the MMCX on the backside of my iem & earbud projects.
