Hey guys, got a question.  I have the Practical Devices XM6 and the battery won't charge.  Can I use it without the battery in the device without it hurting itself?  I don't really want to have to buy a new battery since it will be connected to my computer.

What happened is I bought this second hand and have been using it for the past week not realizing the USB connection didn't power the device.  It turned off earlier today and won't turn back on without it being connected to the charging power adapter.  I have left it on the charger for over two hours and still no power when I take it off.  So I'm assuming the battery is toast.  If I killed the battery just by draining it to zero, that is a really bad design flaw.  I haven't tried using it without the battery, don't want to ruin it.  Any help would be appreciated.  I have emailed Practical Devices, just not sure how long it will take for a response.  So I decided to ask on here.  Thanks for anyone that can help.

Practical Devices got back with me today, and you can run the XM6 without a battery.
