Hii

I would like to watch DVDs on PowerDVD6 over my EMU 0404. I have a 44.1kHz Patchmix session for listening music and it works with PowerDVD as well! But DVD-Movies have 24bit/96kHz sound so i would like to hear the sound with 96kHz not only with 44.1! I created a session like the 44.1(Asio & wave strip) in 96kHz but no sound comes out!!! Could you help me please? What are the best settings in patchmix for watching DVDs?

DVD movies are 48khz so make a 48khz session with WAV strip.

DVD-A can be either 96khz or 192khz.

I listen DVD-Audio in PowerDVD6. When i listen with a 48kHz session it works fine but when i try listening with a 96 or 192kHz there's no sound, it's strange! PowerDVD should support 96kHz. Or it's better to play DVD-Audio with an other player?

I think you need to specifically enable 24/96 DVD-A output in PowerDVD, and then it'll only work for discs that are not copy protected (most "audiophile" labels make discs that aren't, but anything even remotely mainstream is pretty much guarenteed to be protected). Also, you need to use the lastest drivers to get 24/96 or 24/192 DirectSound output.
