I have a modded AG-9015 Philips amp that is switchable between OTL 800 ohm taps and 8 ohm tranformer coupled taps. Would it be worthwhile trying it out with phones on the 800 ohm taps? It is an output capacitor and it is rated at 12 watts/channel using EL-86 output tubes? Audio Express 5/03 had an article about this amp design. IT is also known as series push pull(SPP).
