purchased from amazon japan.
reasons for suspicion:
1. security code obfuscated and illegible and intentionally covered by a sticker.  i cant peel it back.
2. not sure what it's supposed to sound like. im new to headphone enthusiasm and dont trust my ears. it's my first amp. (it does make the sound louder, but thats the sole mission of an amp knockoff.)
3. i saw how detailed and how common are the knockoffs of the e6. so it's not out of the question.
4. typo on battery.  also not KXD battery.
5. the silver part is plastic.  the black panels are plastic, i think (magnet not attracted.)  are they supposed to be metal?
can anyone think of a good way to test it, or compare the inside to theirs?
thanks!
