What's a good, reasonably priced recorder? How does the Nomad Jukebox 3 perform? How big is it? What about NJ2? Does that one record in the first place?

Such a shame that the Zen doesn't record (and that it's ugly

What do you want to record?

If you want to record live stuff I dont know for mp3 recorders but I know that minidisc does so. Some recorders come with mic inputs and both analog and digital inputs. If you are looking at recording live, then I think that is the way to go.

If you mean download mp3s then thats a different kettle of fish

Just did a search. the nomad does record!!!

At ~$270 it seems a bit pricey comapred to the mdsr60 which you can find for ~$130. But if mp3 is your main source then that may be your best option. Plus you don't have to buy blank minidiscs

It is claimed to have good sound quality, so you shouldn't have to worry there.

I am an md fan all the way however so you won't catch me with one
