Currently I have Audio-Technica ATH-M50, with a CMoy BB Headphone amp. I'm in search of some headphones below $300 that are a clear step up from the M50s with a bit more bass extension and are portable.

I'm looking for this but haven't found what I want exactly if there is such a thing:

Stylish and small in size
Over-Ear design (must be)
Removable cable
Closed back or semi open
Comfortable (large soft earcups)

Anything that matches it fairly well I would greatly appreciate it.

I kind of negated some of my requirements by looking at the

Sennheiser Momentum and Phillips Fidelio L1/L2

One does food and the other doesn't have a detachable cable. So the M100 from V-Moda are very appealing. Tried LPs before from one of my friends.

I'm leaning towards the momentums myself. I think the M100's are a bit too bassy for me.

I would't get the Momentum, not because of the sound, rather it is pretty difficult to get a good replacement cable for it.

I said good ones, as the stock cables are not exactly very durable.

I always wonder what the heck some of you guys are doing to make your cables fail. I've got Sennheisers that I bought in the 1980s that still work fine! :p

I ask myself the same question. No idea how u can break a cable. Some people just don't take care of their stuff.. Then blame the product for not being "durable".
