I am looking to buy a quality portable digital FM radio and considering the following:

Sony SRF M-35 out of the box, SonySRF M-35 modified by fixup for $20 more, SonySRF M-95 and, Aiwa CR-LD120/ LD-101.

I would appreciate any additional suggestions or personal experience with these models. What might be the best online sites to buy? Thanks

I am going to buy a Fixup modified Sony SRF M-35, and I suggest you do the same. Why? I read a very positive review on this portable radio here at Head-Fi. Do some searches here and read the post! It's really a must do before you buy any of these radios.

I've tried the m35 and it is no good...WAY to much static! The m95 is a nice portable with a lot of fetures that the m35 lacks, like variable sleep. And the noise level is so much lower.

I use a fixup s84 (analog) and is very satisfied, small size, long battery life and good sound. It is however useless on AM and I dont find it more sensitive then the m95.
