Hi,
 
I have a receiver, that does not have Toslink. 
I want to hook up Playstation 3 to EMU0404 USB via Toslink (EMU0404 USB is already connected with receiver).
 
Question: will it work?
 
I kinda don't want to buy a 20feet toslink cable only to find out that there is smth wrong with the setup..

sure it will work. You will be using the 404 as dac but should sound fine.

So I got the cable and hooked it from PS3 to Emu0404 USB optical in and no sound... What am I missing? I unplugged the usb cable (did not help)

Hard to say what is wrong. Make sure the PS3 is set to output via optical and the Emu is set to input via optical,

Every time I plug in toslink into EMU and power cycle it, it starts flashing all lights and sounds like it is jammed.
