Hiya.
First of all so sorry for my bad english.

So my problem is, i get a (used) pair of Pioneer SE-MS5T and when i listenig music i notice that the "S","F" and the "C" sounding really sharp. I remove the pad and all of the screws and i found that there is something missing from the hole on the magnets.

What can i do anything with this?

I have cups for the HD 681 evo if a cut a thin piece out of it and i stick it there with dual sided tape(without cover the hole with the tape). Should it work,or get even better?
If simple cover it with ducktape, it won't over-pressurize the driver?

Don't cover it with something that'll block the airflow completely. You could experiment around. Who knows. You might end up with better sounding headphones. I've modded a bunch of my headphones, and the air duct is one of the things I always mess around with(except with open backs).

I put some dual-sided tape around the hole(but not to the hole) and than i put a piece of curtain to the hole. I think it does not block the airflow completly.

What do you think about that?

I'm not sure about the material, but it seems fine from the picture. But I suppose what matters is how it sounds. How does it sound?

I really don't know.
It is little better but the problem is still there.
What could i do with this?

What do you think about that if i but two layer from this material but i cover the half if the hole.
Or what happens if i but a small and thin piece if foam to the hole but not cover the full hole?

Finally i made some steps forward.

So a cover the 80-85% of the hole and put a piece of earpads to the back housing and dont know it does something or not, but sounds getting really good.

It did not work... the problem is still there and i getting desperate :/

I found a paper like material and i stick it to the hole it let the air trough.

It is getting better but the S's really bad and sharp. What do you think can i fine-tune with Eq? What frequencies i have to change?

I have jetaudio plus with 20 band graphical eq
