I used to frequent this piano bar on Sunday evenings around 5 pm. It was a seperate room at this fancy steak house.
They had different piano players but this one guy was simply amazing. His interpretations of the classic jazz tunes was so tasteful. I loved his improvisational skills as he would flawlessly stretch out and return to the main themes. He even played jazz versions of modern pop songs too.
There were times when I was in heaven listening to a song I have not heard in a while and so wonderfully played while I was sipping on a martini or a cleverly made cocktail.
Yes, if it's a good piano bar, hearing the grand piano with a properly made martini is priceless. There's nothing like live music and living in the moment.
