I'll be getting a new phono stage (Bellari Tube) for Christmas!

But I don't hae an automatic table, or a tone generator, so can I use Cds to burn it in for a couple of days. I know the input impedence will be way off, but it won't hurt anything, right? It won't be hooked up to an amp or anything else, just the source and my power conditioner.

Thanks!

I would think that your tubes will burn in by just turning on the phono preamp. But, that complete internal burn in of the PP will not occur without a phono signal coming in to your phono inputs.

Bad idea! That would rather be a burn-out - i.e., you don't really want to pump a 2 V signal into something that rather exspects 10 mV (MM)/ 1 mV (MC) max.
