I never used a phone for music since I prefer my laptop/desktop setup but When I start traveling, I will probably try it out and wanted to see if there is a thread dedicated to phone setups, app recommendations/reviews, etc.? What section is preferred for phone questions? Portable Sources?

I picked up some cheap IEMS, Kiwiears Cadenzas, but still need a dongle as I recently picked up a Samsung S24+ after many years with a LG V30. I lost the headphone jack and the use of a micro SD card which I am not happy with but whatever. LOL

Any help will be appreciated!

The best value for money is an Apple 3.5mm adapter, USBPlayerPro app, and Moondrop Chu 2, Truthear Zero blue, or 7hz Zero 2 IEMs.

Next up would be the Tanchjim Space and 7hz Timeless original version. I've had/have all them and just fun on a bun for the different price points.

Is that Apple 3.5mm adapter for USB C? Also how does it compare to all the other inexpensive USB C 3.5mm dongles out there?

I don't plan to upgrade the IEMs since I never use them outside of travel. Much prefer headphones TBH.

What's USBPlayerPro? and how does it compare to the other 100 music players on Android? LOL

Yes, you can find the Apple DAC adapter for Type-C. Here it is! It’s a universal and most budget-friendly option for most users.
USB Audio Player PRO is a media player that allows DACs to work more efficiently on Android devices.

Why not go to a TWS, say a Galaxy Buds Pro. When your traveling you couldn't have an ideal environment anyway due to noise around (unless you are in your room). And dongles and wires will just be hassles. What's important is you just hear good music when on the move.

TWS? I have the IEMs I plan to use, I mostly need decent but inexpensive DAC recommendations and what player to use. I wont use this setup more than 2-3 times a year
