The successor to the SHP9500.

Chrono at The Headphone Show says it has better bass extension/impact than the Beyerdynamic DT 1990 Pro - a headphone that is about 3x as expensive and is already known for having excellent bass extension for an open-back dynamic headphone.

See the review here;

Has anyone heard the SHP9600 to confirm this?

The headphones look great, i think i may try or buy it at some point. Although i won't drive myself to the hypetrain (if there's one) of this headphones.
I hope it'll sound better than SHP9500.

I have the 9600 and yes it does have good bass extension down to around 30 or possibly lower, i haven’t listened to the Bero though so can’t say if it’s more, I wouldn’t really want it any warmer that’s for sure
