While there's been a good deal written about the two models Jan Meier carries, and which some folks have found in the US, I was wondering about the cheaper models that seem to be appearing all of a sudden in chain stores and web discounters, specifically Best Buy and Target.
The Best Buy website has some interesting looking Philips models either in stock or coming soon, and the stores have a few, including a pretty-beefy looking set of verticals, a folding pair, etc. The stores by me have different models in stock; this seems to be normal for that chain. I guess I was looking for the proverbial cheap but good-sounding set of cans, easy to transport, easy to wear, and easy to listen to. Anyone listen to any of these? Of course, my natural cynicism about cheapos, and the long return lines at Best Buy, have meant I haven't plunked down any cash to check 'em out.
