I know this has nothing to do with anything... but if you have the Channel separation / balance plugin for Foobar2k (i think its called dsp_wider) or something like that...
anyway, i was playin around with it and had a particularly bass heavy track @ pretty high volume rockin, well i hit the "invert front right channel" checkbox. Im guessing that this just reverses the phase of the front right channel so that it would cancel any similar sounds from the left channel. Well since you have the phones on your head though, each bass note, depending on which channel its coming from feels like its sucking your brains out of your left or right ear...
hard to explain, if you dont understand just try it haha.
