a buddy of mine is looking for some software for a pda (any o.s.) that will make it easy and possible to just take a picture of someone, and connect it to their contact information....so it's displayed on the same page or whatever....free, cost....whatever....he just really would like something like this....any suggestions?

he's got an old palm, and is thinking of upgrading....so if there's a nice piece of software out there, he'd be willing to go with that os....in his new one.

jwramp,

There are two applications I have used for the PocketPC that provide this functionality (among many other useful features):
  1. Pocket Informant. http://www.pocketinformant.com
  2. Agenda Fusion. http://www.developerone.com
After using both for their trial periods, I ended up going with Pocket Informant, as its feature set (pretty extensive) suits my needs very well (and I like its compatibility with a another cool app called PIToday (http://www.pitoday.de.vu/).

Hope this helps your buddy.

I have a Sony Clie NX70V/U. It uses Palm OS5. It has a little build in camera, so you can take digital pictures up to 1.3 megapixels. In the "address book", you can link the photo you take (or import) to a specific person's personal info. So, when you click on Joe Smith in the address book, the page will show you all his personal info + a picture.
