Passive preamp technology changed in the last 20 years? Creek OBH-12 specifically

I would assume that line attenuation technology hasn't changed in the last 20 years but I don't know.  I'm looking for something passive with a remote control and I see the Creek OBH-12 on ebay for $150 but amazingly no other passives with a remote control.  Should I buy the creek or is there a newer one that I should be aware of? My requirements are:
