I need a P-mount cartridge for a Technics turntable. I read that Grado+Technics = Hum, so i need another suggestion. I'd like to keep it under 75 dollars nothing fancy here. If it helps it'll be mostly for acoustic and classic rock and a Rotel phono stage.

Thanks guys!

I've owned the non-P-mount version of it. Good sound for the price ($35 used). Fairly balanced, inoffensive, a little dull. That's about what I'd expect from the P-mount version. Of course, a lot depends on the quality of your Technics, which is probably subpar, unfortunately.

I've used a P-mount Grado Black on an old Technics SL-BD211U and there was absolutely no hum whatsoever. Apparently this is because this turntable is a belt drive (the motor is DC and is not directly below the platter).

this is kindof an old POS technics, its a linear tracking (?) as in it doesn't have a tonearm, just the cartridge runs on a little track built into the top cover. and I know its crap, i just happen to have it, and can't afford a Rega P3 or something similar yet.
