Previous recommended route #1 would cover almost major headphone related pro-audio shops, I think.
However, I did not mention about Yodobashi or other larger retail stores. I am not so sure if those shops are good for headfiers. It's depended on the location as those are chain stores.
I think, it's worth to visit on those stores when you are looking for relatively lower priced cans as they are oriented to consumer products and you would also have some chance to find English speak sales persons in those shops. But they usually do not have decent headphone amps and their audition setups are not good.
