A good tutorial I used is available at: http://cnx.org/content/m11677/latest/ Click the "related material" links in the top left box to step through chapters. It'll tell you how to make footprints, boards, etc without being too complex. Be sure to check your footprints. The ones that come with Orcad can be the wrong size for your part even though they use the same designation.
