Thanks for the opinion's on OpAmp's that can be considered bass savants. I have been reading as many posts on AD-843's and OPA-627's as I can and it seems to go in the AD-843's favor for dynamic bass and the OPA-627 for soundstaging.I can use the 627's in my Marantz CD player and use the 843's for the bass amp!Oh no, a new thought just entered my mind. In a three stage OpAmp preamp, would there be an advantage to mixing OpAmp's to take advantage of their individual strengths, say one has a better input section and maybe another has a better output section, also any faults in one particular brand would not be compounded by three of the same cascaded. Anyone have any thoughts on this? KevinMcC
