Hi,
So I've been playing around a lot lately with Dolby Headphone, especially as part of the Cyberlink Audio Decoder.
I thought, I'd give music a try so I tried to play a couple of .ogg files. Unfortunately, I couldn't get Dolby Headphone to work with it. This is what I discovered:
- PowerDVD 9/10 is unable to play my .ogg files. After I decode to WAV 32 floating, playback it is possible but only with default speaker 2.0 stereo.
- MPC-HC accepts all formats (ogg and all types of wav). However, the Cyberlink Audio Decoder filter doesn't work in all cases. I was able to play the ogg files with ffdshow (and integrated headphone simulation). The wav files didn't play in combination with ffdshow, only with the internal filters.
So that's about it. While the headphone option of ffdshow was pretty good I still would like to go for Cyberlink decoder (since it's generally a bit better). I've included a track in this post so you play around with it. Hopefully, one of you can get it to work..
Thanks in advance!
Daan
