Good afternoon guys,

So a while ago I purchased a pair of KRK Rokit 6 (G2)'s, brand new, from B&H.

I've had a problem with them since day 1. The tweeter produces a sort of soft, white noise, and the sub produces a similar, lower noise (like a seashell). The noise is loud enough to be barely noticeable about 4 feet away in a quiet room. Both speakers (I purchased a pair) exhibit the exact, identical problem (volume and characteristic of this noise, results when troubleshooting, ect). This noise is present even when no audio inputs are plugged into the speakers (i.e. they are just attached to the wall and turned on). The speakers have absolutely no distortions, peculiarities, or issues besides this noise.

I have tried many things to no avail. I'm really stressed for solutions.

- Unbalanced RCA audio from a Xonar Essence STX Sound card → no difference
- Unbalanced 3.5mm to RCA from onboard desktop audio → no difference
- Unbalanced 3.5mm to RCA from laptop on battery power → no difference
- Unbalanced 3.5mm to RCA from cell phone on battery power → no difference
- Unbalanced RCA from Nintendo Wii → no difference
- Balanced XLR from a Yamaha mixer → no difference

For the above sources, the noise from the Rokits is independent of the volume level. For both speakers, the noise has the same characteristics and intensity regardless if the source is at 0% or 100% volume. The noise is independent of the HF Level Adjust and Volume knobs on the back of the Rokits. (I just noticed increasing the Rokit Volume knob when connected to onboard desktop audio increases electrical noise from mouse movements, ect., but I believe this is to be expected.)

Finally, I also tried:

- Powering the Rokits with a ground Lift (no audio inputs) → no difference
- Powering the Rokits with a Ebtech Hum X Voltage Hum Filter (no audio inputs) → no difference

The only things I haven't tried are:

- A power conditioner (such as a Furman M-8X2)
- A ground loop isloator (such as Radioshack's)
- Outlets outside of my house
- Opening up the speakers

Any ideas? Thank you all so much.
