Hi all Info and recommendations for the following would be greatly apprec...
My headphone amp situation is fine, but I need help for a speaker pre amp.
laptop to dac to amp6 tripath digital amp to 4 in. full range tang bang speakers at present. the T amp likes high effeciency speakers and mine are a bit below at 87 db. I would like a little preamp with gain that could boost about 10 db.
a little tube amp would be nice, but SS acceptable if a good match for the tripath i.e. clear, wide soundstage, but a bit of tubey warmth.
price 150 at most; new or used
needs to have a pre out that is volumn controlled
Have looked into tube buffers but they output the same gain as is inputted
