New year's greeting

Happy new year to you all !
Thank you for took time on my blog last year.

Japanese people usually take days off for the first three days of the new year. Some people takes longer like me

Today, I went to Kamakura which is our historic city. If you have a chance to visit Tokyo, I recommend you to visit Kamakura as well. Kamakura is close to Tokyo and Kamakura used to be a capitol of Japan, it was almost eight hundred years ago.
We Japanese always went to the shrine for the first pray of the year. I found many people come to pray at the Kamakura Hachimangu shrine.

I took some pictures of winter peony flowers at the flower garden in the shrine.
The peony flowers are protected by the coat of straw to prevent winter chill, especially winter snow.

I see that you love that filter still. After seeing some of your shots I thought about getting one for my nikon d200 not quite the machine you have more than amp probably for anything I ever do! I visited family down in 九州の佐賀県嬉野市. It was great. On the way I stopped briefly through Tokyo and kept looking for
someone who
might take out ue11 move and imod but alas to my eyes you did not appear. Cheers

Thank you for the comment again.
I use VK50R soft focus lens and it would fit to the Nikon mount. However, It's a shame that it is out of stock now and hard to find even in the lens heaven of Ginza camera shops.

I've been to 北九州　once before but never been to 佐賀県.
宮崎県　is now a hot place and I want to visit mid 九州 someday.
