Hi all,
I don't consider myself really a newb to the audio world, but I am when it comes to tube amps -- I've been using a combined Solid State DAC/AMP for the past 6 years..
A few questions:
1) Do tubes actually make a BIG difference (I know they make a difference, but how much?)
2) There's a huge 500+ page thread dedicated to tube rolling for the LYR that I don't feel like reading. Can someone summarize the "best" tube(s) for the LYR, regardless of price? How do they compare to the stock GE tubes?
3) As for number (2), does anyone have some good LYR tubes for sale or trade?
PS - Obviously using a BiFrost with UBER RCA & USB Gen 2 Upgrades, if that matters..
