Can't find it on Philips website, but page 82 of the June issue of WIRED magazine, has a cool new mp3 player called the Philips Audio Key Ring. The player itself is a pretty normal 128 meg USB MuVo-like device, but the interesting part is the cloth that makes up the attached lanyard is made from touch-sensitive fibers. Advance tracks, adjust the volume, etc. by touching the very thin necklace. A big step forward in portable remote design. Wonder where this technology will go? Prepare for new round of iPod cases.

Price for the Philips expected to be $159.

i don't think its the same thing.

The burton jacket wasn't anything new, they had a ruggedized but basic remote control (no LCD or jog dial) sewn to one of the sleeves and ran wires through the sleeve to a pocket on the inside where you plugged it into iPod. Just a fancy remote control basically, yet somehow they were asking $500 for the jacket. there is also a Burton backpack, but its $200. I don't know what the point is, I use the regular iPod remote and run it through my backpack, no problem. for about a quarter of the price.

Looks pretty cool but the photos on the page doesn't really show the extra functions of the unit. I should go take a look at Wired.

For those that are going out of their way, the WIRED thing is extremely short, though the photo does show the lanyard.
