Nice graphics setup, what kind of crap do you run that you need the X1? (you should have gotten the 256MB version, but I think that's ony 8X, so it wouldn't work in there

)....anyway, saw that you use lightwave, is it an efficient system?

Well I didn't specify but thats a Radeon 9500 Pro modded to X1...so yeah. Paid $150 for it new after some mail in rebates

As far as lightwaving...I need more RAM. Its not as quick as a dual Xeon system due to Lightwave's heavy SSE2 optimizations but for the money I paid it can't be beat. Those cpus (XP 1700+ Tbred-B) cost me $47 each....and run to 2600+ with no extra voltage. That, plus the hacked X1 and what not and its a wicked-fast system for a reasonably small amount of dough. The 15K main disk was not cheep when I got it but they're not TOO bad anymore.

eighteen_psi,
nice pad man. we should still get together and audition stuff before the meet in Sac. are you officially living in Berkeley, or are you still in P-town? are you originally from pleasanton? also, my best friend lives in and goes to UCB also, maybe i'll stop by one time. i know pretty well the area, especially where to access dwight street from too...in relation to the school that is. your place is awesome...i've never seen such a good looking inside of a house in Berkeley. most of the time, the houses near the school are run down and rotting...at least the ones my friend has lived in.
