Hey, for all fans of the Fosi V3 stereo and mono amps, be aware that there is a new matching DAC about to debut from Fosi. I had the good fortune to be a beta tester for them. Here are brief remarks about it - a nice little unit. There is also now a good matching 3-input preamplifier, the P4. Both inexpensive like the V3 amp but offering high value. (Price of the Q6 when introduced may vary a bit in the U.S. due to tariffs.)
I've been using the new Q6 DAC for about a month and a half and am very pleased with it. It looks great with the other Fosi small form-factor products (V3 and P4). It's nice to have the unit standby when no audio signal is present, or to have the option of turning it off entirely. Runs nicely off of the USB power from my PC. I use both the optical and USB connections - use the optical connection for a CD deck that I use as a disk transport.
My other good DACs are the Schiit Modi 3 and JDS Labs Atom+, and the sound quality is the same. Fosi selected good components to use in the device. I feel all of these recent Fosi products are well designed and nicely executed, and provide great sound quality for very reasonable costs.
