$699 Audeze EL-8 (open back)

Magnetic design with fluxor magnets (patent pending) are included on this EL-8 headphone by Audeze. This headphone is the most affordable headphone ever offered by Audeze and is sure to impress.

The first production run production includes standard headphone cable with 1/8” (3.5mm) stereo plug and 1/8” to ¼” stereo plug adapter.

These new fluxor magnets allows Audeze to use single sided magnets to save weight while almost achieving the magnetic flux density of the LCD series.

It does include Fazors like the famous LCD series.

The Uniforce diaphragm (patent pending) virtually eliminates all the breakup modes common in other manufacturer’s drivers. The Industrial design was completed by BMW DesignWorks.

Apple cable will be available at additional cost. Price TBD.

Sound quality superior to anything in this price category

Thank You.

I wonder how these will fare if they're driven through the Asgard 2...
I hope they have a better soundstage than the HE-400i, because that's the only thing making me no want it.

Until we get them in I cant give them a fair assessment. While they sounded great at CES, it was very noisy and hard to concentrate. But they where not hard to drive. So the Asgard can drive them just fine.

The Asgard 2 would change their sound a little bit, though.  I'm just going to wait until I can have a fair assessment of what amps are a good combo with them.
