NAD is advertising the NAD C715 all-in-one on their website, very similar to the late great NAD L40 (of which I was once a proud owner).

This new all-in-one has many nifty functions like USB input/output and optical output (for recording radio or other connected sources).

I sold my L40 before moving to Africa a few years back and this would be a great replacement (along with some great new PSB Alphas). However, I can't seem to find these babies available in the US yet.

Anyone seen it or tried it out yet? Why don't they online retail these things -- hi-fi authorized resellers are too hard to find!

Hmm... now why couldn't I find that before? I guess Google needs to catch up.

Thanks.

oh baby!

I have wanted one of these compact systems from NAD for awhile. maybe this is the one I will get. $500 and I was gonna buy some Grado RS1's q:O)>

I was worried when I saw that DAB tuner mentioned for I was afraid it was another one of those compact models from NAD that you cannot get in the states. looks like there are two models with one being the C715DAB.

so you can hook up an external hard drive to this thing to store music on? got to see if I can download the manual to check this out.

oh spank my monkey this is looking nice!

looks like it will play from USB devices with no more than 2000 files in MP3 and WMA formats. not as good as I hoped but still pretty cool.

and I assume with the fiber optic output you can hook up an external DAC and headphone amp. it actually has a headphone output which most or all of the compact NAD's have not had.

my NAD 710 is several years old now and I have been wanting to downsize from it. this could easily be what I need.
