Hi guys,

Have been looking for a dac for a while. Am going to try zhaolu dac due to many of great reviews of it recently. I found two versions on a on-line shop. One is dac 2.5 which is updated version of 2.0 the other is the latest official version dac 3.0. Don't know if dac 3.0 is better as it's the latest one. THis Dac has same CS4398 D/A chip as its predecessor dac 2.5 and comes with up-sampling support to pc. Dac2.5 has a headphone jack that the 3.0 version doesn't.

I have a cheap nad 521bee cdp and a MF v3 amp. Which one is more suitable for the setup? Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Thanks Heatfan,
Probably I would go coaxial for more natural sound.
got some comments of the dacs from the seller:
D-2.5a---out of stock ---------sound bit hard good for Rock
D-2.5c ---beeter than D2.5a at mid and vocal--- sound smoother than D2.5a
D-3.0 -- without headphone output -----------very detail and smooth ----better than D-2.5c at defination ---------With playing loud volume still no pressure to ear .

Who is the seller you're referring to?

I almost bought a Zhaolu a while back and them almost bought a ZERO just recently. World financial market bluck is keeping me cautious; still holding on to my cash waiting for the Aussie dollar to come back up vs the battered Yankee Greenback.

I've dealt with Eddie at diykits.com.hk on other products and he has been very good with me.
