I having never really used the remote, it seems that I have lost it. After checking with Denon and a few parts companies it seems that this remote is no longer available. I wonder if anyone might have this remote perhaps from a non working unit, RC-237?

The reason why I am trying to locate one having never used mine in the past is because now after getting into headphone listening, I realize that the only way to control the headphone output volume or the RCA outputs is through the remote. I wanted to connect my Meta-42 to the Denon DCM-320 but the factory default level is too high to use it as a good source into my Meta-42.

I have tried Radio Shack's 5 in 1 universal but no luck. Any ideas?

JMT, Thanks for the idea of an attenuator.

Whats strange is that the Radio Shack 5 in 1 universal remote actually does a good job in controlling all of the functions except volume levels on the headphone out and the RCA final outputs. Can someone confirm that the original Denon remote, controls the volume levels on the DCM-320?

I have a Denon DCM-370 (JMT's, actually

) which is very similar to the DCM-320. And yes, the remote does control volume, which isn't on the player. And, unfortunately, when you turn the player off it resets the volume. Very annoying.

Like JMT, I found that the default volume, which is the maximum, is much too high.
