Had one before which worked fine, but then upgraded pc and was lost. For around 400 ripped cd's to flacs. Haven't really been following as have Tidal hi-fi. But quite a few albums/tracks which aren't on Tidal or even Spotify. Suggestions? For PC with Schiit stack and cans. Was major effort to rip all those CD's. Lots of great tracks there.

JRiver if you don't mind paying reasonable license fee.

I use fre:ac (free audio converter) which is really easy to use when there's lots to do. Supports FLAC, MP3, etc. For organizing I use Foobar2000 since it's lets you save playlists easily. A 128gb USB stick, or even an external USB drive are so inexpensive these days to back up documents to. I upgraded one of the laptops to SSD and got an external case for the hard drive and it makes a fast enough backup disk. Also it plugs into the router USB port for sharing a media library.
Musicbee is free and you can edit until your heart is content
