As I am opening up my system to better performance, I would like to gain some more knowledge on the CLOCK/10Mhz/WORD Clock.

Right now my pc only has a JCAT USB XE

I would like to further upgrade my pc with clock and also ethernet(maybe jcat).

The only criteria is the pc should be able to clock with:

DAC: R8HE mk2
DDC: DI20HE
Master clock: probably OCK2, because it got three square.

How should I approach making my setup better?

(MB: ASUS strix B550 itx needs to change for more pcie slots)

I meant so that my computer has a bnc/connection.
I already have idea of which master clock to get😊
Which of the two above quotes do you want?

If it’s the top quote, then the linked article by @Roseval explains and demonstrates why using a master clock will not “make your setup better”, if anything, it will make it worse.

It has options for external clocking. Read datasheet and manual. Thin As has a build thread/review of it.

Nice! I did find that board. But is it just another motherboard?
As someone with this board, no it is not just another motherboard. I’ve had this board without the sclk-ex for the last two months and it is substantially better than my previous gigabyte gaming board.

I know of two others with this board who are using reference clocks (Ref10 and Afterdark Eva Trifecta) and regardless of what anyone states about “not needing clocks” for your PC, they sound quite a bit better with an external reference clock at play (connected to the sclk-ex board).

Worth exploring for sure.
